PEOPLE IN PAIN -- An LGBTQ+ Suicide Risk Assessment ToolSuicide rates among members of the LGBTQ+ community are significantly higher than those of the general population. And many of the additional risk factors that contribute to these suicide rates, do not take some of these more specific risk factors into account.
This tool is designed to augment any other evidence based suicide assessments scale you may already be using in your practice (e.g. SAD PERSONS, IS PATH WARM, or the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale).
This tool is intended to increase clinician confidence in creating an appropriate intervention and/or treatment plan when working with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.
